M/W/DBE Coordination

The McCormick Group provides minority, women, disadvantaged business enterprise coordination services. These include plan development, monitoring contractor compliance, outreach, event planning, messaging, documentation reporting and serving as a liaison between the client and the M/W/DBE community.

I-69 Section 5

The McCormick Group served as DBE Coordinator and Small Business Workforce Coordinator for the multimillion dollar  I-69 Section 5 expansion project. In this capacity, The McCormick Group exceeded the established DBE goal.

Services included:

  • Conducting DBE outreach to introduce and build awareness of participation opportunities
  • Publicizing the DBE program
  • Encouraging INDOT certified DBEs to bid participation opportunities
  • Ensuring non-discrimination in the award and administration consistent with 49CFR
  • Working closely with I69 DP team members to facilitate DBE contract participation
  • Serving as a central point of contact for all DBE related planning and executions

Indiana University

The McCormick Group increased Indiana University’s utilization of DBE/M/WBE contracts by 389% in one year.

Services included:

  • Meeting with each department of the University in purchasing and construction to define and expand utilization
  • Facilitating open house and direct meetings with vendors
  • Coordinating with academic management message outreach
  • Contacting prospective vendors to identify opportunities and to encourage response

BP Global

The McCormick Group assisted BP Global in expanding its M/W/DBE vendor base.

Services included:

  • Identifiing vendors to participate in the BP Global initiative to expand construction in urban centers
  • Facilitating open house meetings
  • Executing outreach to the vendor community
  • Managing compliance requirements

Emmis Communications

The McCormick Group worked with Emmis Communications (the eighth largest radio company in the U.S.) and prime contractors to facilitate increased DBE/M/WBE participation in the construction of the $30 million Emmis Corporate headquarters on the historic center, of downtown Indianapolis, Monument Circle.


Indiana Supplier Development Council

The McCormick Group conducted a statewide assessment with funding from the Lilly Endowment to define obstacles to business growth, through interviews with the DBE/M/WBE community, throughout the state of Indiana. Conducting this study provided the opportunity to document the challenges and to understand from primary assessment the potential options, to correct underutilization, of DBE/M/WBE firms.


NCAA Final Four

The McCormick Group served as Diversity Consultant to two consecutive NCAA Final Fours; successfully introducing new businesses to the NCAA and identifying business opportunities, for the local M/WBE community.
